We are on a mission
Supplements are sold on feelings. Brighter mornings, better skin, more of whatever you feel short of. We understand the appeal — and we have decided not to sell that way.
Our mission is narrower and, we think, more useful: to make it easy to see what you are actually taking. What is in the pack, how much of it, how to take it, and what the law allows anyone to say about it. If that sounds modest for a mission statement, it is because most of the noise in this category comes from brands that skipped it.
What we will and will not claim
In the United Kingdom, a food supplement may only carry a health claim that appears on the official register of authorised claims, and only where the product supplies enough of the relevant nutrient to meet the stated condition of use. Those claims belong to specific nutrients at specific amounts — not to a brand, and not to an ingredient because it happens to be popular. For several well-known supplement ingredients there is no authorised claim at all.
So where a nutrient in one of our products carries an authorised claim, we state that claim in the exact wording it was authorised in, attached to the nutrient it belongs to. Where there is no authorised claim, we say nothing rather than hinting.
The same rule governs everything else we say about ourselves. We do not make environmental, sourcing or manufacturing claims that we cannot evidence, and you will not find a badge on this site that stands for nothing. If we have not said it, it is usually because we are not yet able to prove it.
Not all supplements are created equal
Two products with the same name on the front can be very different behind it. The form of a nutrient, the amount per serving and the number of servings in a pack all change what you are buying, and the price per pack tells you almost nothing on its own.
That is why our product pages are built around the panel rather than around adjectives: the nutrient, the amount, the serving, the directions and the warnings. It is the information you would need to compare us with anyone else — including the comparisons that do not flatter us.
We sell food supplements. They are not medicines. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or condition, and they should not be used as a substitute for a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. We cannot tell you which product is right for you; your doctor or pharmacist can consider your full situation, which we cannot.

You can sign up from any page on this site, and you can unsubscribe from the link at the bottom of any email we send. Unsubscribing never affects order confirmations or replies to your questions.

Shopping with us
